Watling JCB Engineers Enter Nifty Fifty 5hr Moped Endurance Charity Race
Seven of Watling JCB's very own engineers will be swapping their work vans for 50cc mopeds on the 24th of March 2018 as they compete in the Nifty Fifty Charity Race under the team name "The Watling Wrenches."
Chris Ambler, Paul Rawsterne, Neil Belcher, Adam Burman, Duncan Burman, Paul Hill, Will Brown and Ian Rengger will all be taking part in the 5 hour endurance race held at Route 34 Motopark, Winchester and hope to raise £2,000 for their chosen charity Cancer Research UK.
The chosen charity was an easy decision for the team with two colleagues diagnosed with cancer in the last 18 months, and every single member being affected in their personal lives in some way.
Chris "the ambling" Ambler said; We are hoping to raise £2,000 but we are only 8 crazy men with two mopeds, no fear and a weekend spare on a motocross track. We are reaching out to the Great British public for your help, and with your support we are hoping to smash our target.
All of the team would like to thank our sponsors so far:
Premier road surfacing and planing contractors.
Apex Plant group.
