Main Purpose of the Role:
The main purpose of this role is to promote and sell the JCB Construction range of machinery
and products within the dealership territory to new and existing customers. This is a customer
facing role which requires you to build strong relationships within the construction sales sector
of the business. You will need to promote and present solutions to our customers and
frequently liaise with JCB the to ensure you provide a first-class level of customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:
o Build strong and positive relationships with the customer base
o Build and document knowledge about customers’ businesses and technical setup
o Feedback any important customer information to the Company
o Prepare customer quotations for machinery via the JCB JDS software system/
Salesmaster iPad Application and include additional options for:
o Service / R & M Contracts
o JCB Attachments suitable to the application & machine
o JCB Finance
o JCB Insurance
o To carry out full appraisals on used equipment
o Complete full machine specifications to meet the customer requirements on all orders,
including all relevant customer information
o To include any machine Attachment requirements to meet the customers’ needs
o Carry out on-site machine demonstrations and installations
o Increase the company’s construction sales and profitability in line with objectives
o Responsible for the monitoring of customer account facility status and collection of
payments
o Update the Watling JCB Sales Force CRM system to enable accurate forecasting
o To meet and exceed customer service expectations
o Establish and maintain good levels of communication within and outside the business
o Complete all administration accurately and in a timely manner
o Contribute to the overall success of Watling JCB through teamwork and good
communication within the company
o Appropriate reporting to management
o Carry out all work practices in line with company health and safety policy and adhere to
all company policies in accordance with the Company handbook terms and conditions of
employment
o Any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role
Essential:
o Proven track record of sales within the Construction sector or similar industry
o Excellent commercial awareness and customer problem solving
o Ability to follow your customer’s buying decisions and needs
o Proven track record of customer sales call planning and forecasting
o Skilled in sales questioning for successful outcomes
o Proven track record of consultative selling techniques
