Main Purpose of the Role:

The main purpose of this role is to promote and sell the Heavy Line Range of Products within the dealership territory to new and existing customers, and supporting the existing sales team. To a diverse range of customers from small businesses right through to PLCs and government bodies, operating across / interacting with key stakeholders right up to Board Level within those groups.
This is a customer facing role which requires you to build strong relationships within the construction sales sector of the business. You will need to promote and present solutions to our customers and frequently liaise with JCB the to ensure you provide a first-class level of customer service.

Duties:

  • Build strong and positive relationships with customer (and on occasion face to face)
  • Build and document knowledge about the customer business on an as and when basis
  • Prepare customer quotations for Power Generation and Access customer sales via the JCB JDS software system and Salesforce IPad Application and include additional options for:
    • Service / R & M Contract
    • JCB Attachments suitable to the application & machine
    • JCB Finance
    • JCB Insurance
  • To carry out full valuations on any Power Generation and Access Part Exchanges
  • To complete the full machine specification and attachments to meet the customer requirements on all orders, including all relevant customer information
  • To carry out full machine demonstrations and installations on customer site
  • Increase the company’s Power Generation and Access sales and profitability in line with objectives
  • Responsible for the monitoring of customer account facility status and collection of payments
  • Establish and maintain good levels of communication within and outside the business
  • Complete all administration accurately and in a timely manner
  • Contribute to the overall success of Watling JCB through teamwork and good communication within the company

Essential:

  • Excellent commercial awareness and customer problem solving
  • Ability to follow your customer’s buying decisions and needs
  • Proven track record of customer sales call planning and forecasting
  • Skilled in sales questioning for successful outcomes
  • Proven track record of consultative selling techniques

Desirable:

  • Proven track record of sales within the Construction sector or similar industry
