Main Purpose of the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to promote and sell the JCB Industrial product range, with a
strong focus on TLT / Teletrucks, alongside Access equipment and Generators, within the West
Midlands territory.

This is a customer-facing, consultative sales role, requiring the development of strong
relationships across a wide range of industrial sectors including logistics, warehousing,
manufacturing, distribution and recycling. You will identify customer needs, propose tailored
material handling and power solutions, and work closely with internal departments and JCB to
deliver a first-class customer experience.

Remuneration:

• Competitive salary, excellent uncapped OTE and commission structure, remote working, company car, health insurance etc.
• Full IT package, Expenses Account, Pension, Ongoing Training and Development Programme and Career Progression.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Build strong and positive relationships with the customer base
• Build and document knowledge about customers’ businesses and technical setup
• Feedback any important customer information to the Company
• Prepare customer quotations for machinery via the JCB JDS software system/
Salesmaster iPad Application and include additional options for:
• Service / R & M Contracts
• JCB Attachments suitable to the application & machine
• JCB Finance
• JCB Insurance
• To carry out full appraisals on used equipment
• Complete full machine specifications to meet the customer requirements on all orders,
including all relevant customer information
• To include any machine Attachment requirements to meet the customers’ needs
• Carry out on-site machine demonstrations and installations
• Increase the company’s construction sales and profitability in line with objectives
• Responsible for the monitoring of customer account facility status and collection of
payments
• Update the Watling JCB Sales Force CRM system to enable accurate forecasting
• To meet and exceed customer service expectations
• Establish and maintain good levels of communication within and outside the business
• Complete all administration accurately and in a timely manner
• Contribute to the overall success of Watling JCB through teamwork and good
communication within the company
• Appropriate reporting to management
• Carry out all work practices in line with company health and safety policy and adhere to
all company policies in accordance with the Company handbook terms and conditions of
employment
• Any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role

Abilities, Skill Set and Experience:

Essential:

• Proven track record in B2B sales within the Industrial, Material Handling, Access, Power
Generation or related sectors
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and solve customer challenges
• Experience in consultative, solution-based selling
• Ability to plan, manage and forecast sales activity effectively
• Confident in sales questioning and needs analysis to achieve successful outcomes
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Full UK driving licence with a good driving record
